House Tour

We are elbow deep in the paperwork tornado of a process that is buying our first home, and I'm so excited to share all of the bumps along the road. Yesterday, we got the inspection done and I was able to take some photos.

 And here it is. I'm so excited to share the details with you all.

Front porch, 2 digit address, and flower beds on the window are some of my favorite parts of the charming curb appeal.

Upon walking in, you'll notice the sunroom to your left with the home's original french doors sandwiched between built in book shelves. To your right is a fire place, and above you'll see the detail of the coffered ceilings. I'm in love with all of the charm! 

Immediately off of the living room is this sunroom, which is going to make an amazing homeschool and play area.

 Through the living room is this full sized dining room, with more detail in the paneling, chair rail, coffered ceilings and built ins.

To the left of the dining room is this hallway, which leads to the two bedrooms and bathrooms. It features more built ins, and track ceiling lighting.

The bathroom features a huge walk in shower, stained glass window with privacy shutters, and wainscotting.

The master bedroom features the bright wood floors, molding, and a bonus room through the french doors which will become my crafting room and office.

Back through the hallway to the opposite side is a very eager sweet Bee exploring what will become her new bedroom!

Finally, back through the dining room is the kitchen! We are in love with this space. Let's go outside!

We are so excited to have such a great outdoor space to play and explore in! The best part about our backyard, though, is definitely this finished garage with a bonus garage apartment on top of it!

                               

 The apartment is a beautiful, sunny, 1 bedroom with a dining room, walk in closet and full bathroom.

The garage boasts a finished workshop and a large laundry room!

Trick or Treat!

Last Halloween we took a very sweet, 9 month old Bee trick or treating for the first time. It was such a fun experience. I remember that age and the holidays being so hard. Her transition from babyhood to toddlerhood was such a difficult time for me, as I'm sure it is for many moms. You go from having a baby who is very much just an extension of you, to having this amazing person developing who is very much their own!

Now that we're on the other side of toddlerhood, it's much easier to accept that she's her own person. Even more, it's something that is very exciting! Instead of meeting her birthday with a sense of grief, I'm actually thrilled about it coming up! It's a much different dynamic over all, and trick or treating this year was just one example of that. She had such an amazing time, and seeing her having so much fun and being old enough to go to the doors on her own before rushing back to me with pride to show off her hard earned candy just made my heart feel like it was going to explode!

This year Bee was a sweet peacock, and her dog was a sweet bee!

   

First Haircut

Well, it happened. Bee is officially a big kid who got her first haircut at a made-for-kids salon, where the staff worked hard to keep her interested and excited! It was a terrific day and honestly, I'll let the photos speak for themselves!

Fearless

The other day I took a very excited sweet Bee to a carnival. This was the first time she was tall enough to ride any of the rides, and she had such a blast. Running from ride to ride, looking back, shouting, "Come on! Come on!" She marveled at the lights and had such a sense of wonder and fun. It's one of my favorite memories.

And finally, my favorite picture at all. Completely and totally fearless. I love this girl. 

Seasonal travels

We had a great time recently visiting family further North, you know, where there is actually a Fall season. The cooler weather was a nice reprieve, and Bee saw something wonderful, something she doesn't see much in sunny Florida - fog!

Summer

It's been awhile, hasn't it? I promise to stop neglecting to post, I have some important milestones and updates and great toddler activities to share - but it has been such a busy summer! Here's a small glimpse into what we've been up to.
